Who We Are

Lincoln Road is a diverse place and Lincoln Road Bible Chapel is a part of that.

Lincoln Road has a lot happening on it. There are 55 fast food outlets. There is a hospital, as well two medical centers, and there is also a school, two retirement homes, and several early childhood centers. Often we hear police or ambulance sirens as we praise the Living God on Sunday mornings. There are at least twelve sets of traffic lights and dozens of businesses and a even a few residential homes. Lincoln Road is a major artery of our city.

Lincoln Road Bible Chapel is located at the heart of West Auckland. We are surrounded by people of every creed and every nation. Henderson is a vibrant, living atmosphere and it is in this place that we are encouraged and empowered to build the Kingdom of God.

This is how we seek to operate as a church community. This plays out in many different ways. Some are talented musicians, who play on Sunday mornings as we sing together. Some are tireless workers who give time and energy to the upkeep of the building. Some are eager preachers, urging others to understand and love the Lord our God. Some pour their effort into connecting with children and young people in the community through programs such as Iconz and 24/7. Some are gifted encouragers who send cards or simply listen. God has given us these gifts, so we give them back in service to his kingdom, in and around our church.

Sometimes, in the moment of yet another conflict at work, another messy child, another mistake, another distraction, it can be hard to believe that we are growing towards Christ-likeness, that we are Jesus’ hands and feet in our community and that we work together as a team. It is easy to lose sight of what it means to build the Kingdom of God.

We meet on Sundays and throughout the week to remind each other and ourselves about who God is and what he has done. His “name will be great among the nations” (Malachai 1:11), and his love for the world is displayed in the giving of his Son, Jesus the Christ (John 3:16). And more, when we meet, we meet to challenge each other to grow our God-given gifts and passions to build the Kingdom of God, by making him known, commending his Son, and serving our community in his name. We use what we are given, whether that is a thoughtful mind or hard-working hands, and God helps us to reach the unreached who live and work all around us.

The Impulse to Praise – Chris

Every single facet of creation is called upon to worship God because he is the Creator, the King, and the Redeemer, but only humanity can articulate God’s worthiness with words. Read More "The Impulse to Praise – Chris"
